Hi, if you are using Blender 2.8 or newer you are likely using Mantaflow. Mantaflow is an open source framework for fluid simulations and it works quite differently from the old(er) Blender fluid and smoke simulations. I have yet to create a tutorial for it, but there's plenty of good ones online if you search for it :) It takes a little bit to get used to, but it creates better results than the old toolset.

How do I get my "zeplin shaped sphere" to move faster? It's going at like 1m/s.

Just tweak the keyframes for it to your liking to speed it up or slow it down. If you're new to Blender, check out my beginner tutorial for Animations in Blender
