Hi Tobias,

I noticed that in the indicator that tells the date and time a reply was posted, shows the local time of the person who replied. Example: Here in Norway the time is currently July 10, 01:08 pm. In the profile pic topic, you replied at July 10, 08:31 pm. So in other words, the forum doesn't account for timezones.

Just noticed that my post says that it was posted at 09:14 pm, so it doesn't show local time, but (I guess) Austrailian.

Hi @havardhv,

Thank you for pointing that out. Being in Australia, I never noticed. I guess bbpress is using the server time (which is in Australia). Not sure there's a way to switch it over to everyone's local time, but I will have a look into it

A simpler solution I would think at least (I don't know anything about coding websites) may be to say how long ago the message was posted instead of at which time.

It does show the 'freshness' at the top of the posts, but I don't think there's an easy way to change the time stamp on each reply... I will look into it when I have some time

Hi @havardhv,

I am not sure you even remember ever opening this thread! I really loved your idea and now that I've rebuilt my entire website (and finally have full control over everything), I brought in time stamps that are relative

So this reply should (at least for today) say 'posted 1 day ago'

Thank you so much for all your feedback and being so active in these forums!

Cheers,

Tobias

HI @havardhv,

Yes it has indeed been a while and I'm excited to see you back

Your idea to make the time stamps 'relative' was one I really wanted to bring across to the new page and I'm excited that it finally happened!

I always really appreciate your feedback and please don't hesitate to let me know if you find any issues with the new site or have other cool ideas of what might be useful!

Cheers,

Tobias
