I am loving this course so far. Tobias is a great teacher, over the years he has helped me transition from a traditional graphic designer to a motion designer when I was about to quit the industry and now I am building the confidence to introduce 3D skills to my tool kit just from following along with this course.
This was THE best beginner Blender course I have seen. The course was easy to understand and didn't assume the viewer knew what different terms and concepts meant but explained everything in a way that even I was able to understand and learn from in a constructive way. Blender is a giant of a program and has so many facets that its easy to get overwhelmed but this course breaks it down in such a way as to make it enjoyable.
Amazing course. Everything is explained very well, it's also great to know what I'm doing while doing it. Thank you for sharing this with us!
As someone who used 2D CAD programs about 10 years ago, I found your lessons very easy to follow and understand. Picked up the basics in no time and was able to begin designing on my own.
Tobias has always had a fun way of showing how to use different software and this Blender tutorial is a great introduction for learning basic tools, navigation, and different features (textures, rendering, etc.), plus Tobias shows quite a bit of shortcuts so you can speedup your workflow and still have fun learning. Highly recommend this course especially if you are transition from another 3D program or just starting out learning to use a 3D program and Blender is good choice.
While other teachers have left me with a finished 3D scene and little understanding of the program I used to create it, Tobias' teaching style is focused on giving students a deep understanding of why the tools are being used in a certain way, and how to choose the tool for the task. I learned more than I expected during the course, and left with a much higher ability to use Blender for modeling and animation, as well as a better approach to thinking about 3D modeling and animation software in general. Thanks, Tobias!
